Leaked documents claim to show the huge deal Robert Lewandowski was offered to join Real Madrid six years ago.

When it became clear that the Poland international would not be signing a new contract and would become a free agent at the end of the 2013/14 season, Madrid made him an offer.

Images obtained by Polish outlet Onet Sports revealed he did receive a contract offer from the club in December 2013.

They were prepared to pay him around £166,000-a-week as well as a £10million signing-on fee.

The documents also reveal restrictions that would be placed on the striker, including not being allow to go skiing, paragliding, climbing, go on a motorboat or ride a motorcycle.

Lewandowski eventually agreed to join Bayern Munich and continued on his route to becoming one of the most feared strikers in Europe.

He has netted 242 goals in 285 appearances on his way to six consecutive Bundesliga titles and wowing former manager Pep Guardiola with his dedication to training.

Lewandowski, 25, has signed a five-year deal with the European champions and will join them in July after his contract with Borussia Dortmund has expired.

However, Maik Barthel claims that Madrid were interested in the Dortmund striker and made a late attempt to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu.

'There was an immoral offer from Real Madrid,' Lewandoski’s representative is quoted as saying by Spiegel Online.

Madrid were reportedly willing to offer Lewandowski a salary of 9.5-million-euros- a-year as well as a signing on fee of 10 million euros.

Barthel, though, insists that he and Lewandowski were not prepared to go against the agreement previously struck with Bayern.

'We listened to their offer out of respect for such a big club,” he added. “But breaking our word never crossed our mind.'

Meanwhile, Lewandowski has written a letter to Dortmund supporters promising to give his all for the club before he moves on to Bayern.
